We are thrilled to host you at our beautifully remodeled townhouse, just one mile from Old Town Scottsdale! Please use this guide to help you get familiar with the property and make the most of your stay. For security reasons, we do not include any access codes or passwords in this guide; these will be sent to you the day before your arrival. Check-In Time

4:00 PM, unless other arrangements have been made in writing.

No-Fee Early Check-In: If no one is checking out on your arrival day and no maintenance is scheduled, we may be able to offer an early check-in (sometimes as early as 1:00 PM). If you’d like to take advantage of this option, please let us know ahead of time. While we can’t confirm early check-in until the day before your arrival, we will do our best to accommodate you. If early check-in isn't requested, we’ll assume you’re comfortable with the standard 4:00 PM check-in time.

Guaranteed Early Check-In: If you’d like a guaranteed early check-in, we can block the night before your arrival to ensure the house is ready for you. A fee (usually a discounted room rate) will apply, as we will lose out on rent. For guaranteed check-in, we can often accommodate an 8:00 AM arrival. This is an excellent option if you have an early flight. Please inquire if you're interested.

Check-Out Time

10:00 AM, unless other arrangements have been made in writing.

No-Fee Late Check-Out: If no one is checking in on your departure day and no maintenance is scheduled, we may be able to offer a late check-out (sometimes as late as 12:00 PM). If you'd like this option, please let us know ahead of time. We won’t be able to confirm late check-out until the day before your departure, as last-minute reservations and maintenance issues can sometimes affect availability. If late check-out isn't requested, we’ll assume you’re comfortable with the standard 10:00 AM check-out time.

Guaranteed Late Check-Out: If you'd like a guaranteed late check-out, we can block the night after your departure, ensuring no one books it. This requires a fee (usually a discounted room rate), as we will lose out on rent. For guaranteed late check-out, we can usually extend the check-out time as late as 11:00 PM. This is an excellent option if you have a late flight. Please inquire if you’d like this option.

Parking

You may park in the driveway or the garage when you arrive. Street parking is not allowed. The HOA requests that guests park in a closed garage when possible. You will find the garage keypad on the right side of the garage door. The code will be provided to you the day before check-in. Please note, we don’t change the garage code between guests, so it is not considered secure—do not store valuables in the garage.

Door Access

The property is secured with a smart lock. Your access code will be sent to you the day before check-in. The smart lock touch screen is located where the deadbolt is installed on the front door. To activate the touch screen, tap the “home” button in the bottom left corner. The screen will light up, and you can enter your code. After a few seconds, you’ll hear the deadbolt unlock. The door will automatically lock after 5 minutes. If you leave, you can manually lock the door by pressing the “lock” button in the bottom right corner of the screen.

Wi-Fi

Wi-Fi details will be sent to you the day before your arrival.

A/C and Heating

An Amazon Smart Thermostat controls the home’s temperature. It’s located in the hallway across from the bathroom. It’s simple to use, but if you’re unfamiliar with smart thermostats, here’s a helpful tutorial: How to Use Amazon Smart Thermostat.

We’ve programmed the thermostat with a daily schedule:

8:00 AM, Noon, and 4:00 PM: 78°F for cooling and 68°F for heating.
8:00 PM: 76°F for cooling and 66°F for heating.
It won’t automatically adjust between 8:00 PM and 8:00 AM to ensure a comfortable sleep environment.
If you adjust the temperature, it will reset to the programmed schedule at the next set time (e.g., 4:00 PM).

If you’re visiting during the summer, welcome to the desert! The pre-programmed temperatures are typical for this area. During peak summer, outdoor temperatures can reach 120°F (and remain above 100°F at night), so keeping the windows covered and doors closed during the day will help you stay cool at night. Ceiling fans are available in each bedroom and the family room to help with airflow and make the rooms feel cooler.

Important: Overcooling the house can cause the air conditioning unit’s coils to freeze, so please avoid making extreme temperature changes.

Community Pool

The community offers a heated pool and hot tub for your enjoyment. Use is limited to registered guests (max 4 people). You’ll find the pool key on a lanyard under the TV in the family room. The pool is a short walk away. To find it, input this address into your GPS: 7920 E Bonita Dr. For a shortcut, you can take the community walkway next to the neighbor’s house, saving you a few minutes. We also provide pool towels for all guests.

Trash Disposal

You’ll find a black bin for regular trash and a pink bin for recycling in the garage. The HOA requires the bins to stay in the garage except during trash collection. We have a service that handles taking the bins to the curb and returning them to the garage, so you don’t need to worry about it.

The black trash bin will be taken to the curb on Sunday and returned to the garage on Monday. The pink recycling bin will be taken to the curb on Thursday and returned to the garage on Friday. Please leave enough space in the garage for easy access to the bins. The service may occasionally come in the evening, so don’t be surprised if you hear the garage door open or close after dinner.

For your peace of mind, please note that there is no direct access from the garage into the house, so you can rest assured that the garage door’s opening and closing is solely for trash service purposes and not a security concern.

Additionally, since the garage is not considered a secure space, we recommend not storing any valuables there (as mentioned in the parking section).

The trash schedule may shift by a day if there's a holiday.

Roku TV

Roku TVs are available in both bedrooms and the family room. When you first turn on the TV, you'll log into Guest Mode by entering your check-out date. This allows you to access popular streaming services you may subscribe to, like Netflix, Amazon Prime, Disney+, and more. Be sure to bring your login information with you to enjoy these services.

Guest Mode automatically resets on your check-out date, ensuring your personal information remains private.

Roku also offers several free channels, such as The Roku Channel, Tubi, and Crackle, where you can watch movies, TV shows, and more without a subscription. You can also enjoy live TV through services like Pluto TV and The Roku Channel, which offer live news, sports, and entertainment.

The Roku app store has a wide selection of free and paid apps for your viewing pleasure. However, please note that local network TV (like ABC, NBC, etc.) isn’t available directly on Roku. If you plan to watch a specific sporting event or show, we recommend researching beforehand to make sure you can stream it through one of the available services on Roku.

BBQ Propane

There is a propane tank installed in the cabinet beneath the BBQ. If it runs out during your stay, feel free to swap it with the spare tank located behind the patio sofa. After swapping the tanks, please place the empty one just outside the front door and send us a quick message so we can schedule a replacement.

Check-Out Instructions

We’ve made the check-out process simple:

If you plan to leave before your scheduled check-out time, please let us know so we can have housekeeping get an early start.
If you moved any furniture or decor, please return it to its original place.
Please clean up any spills or messes.
Dispose of trash in the bins in the garage.
You don’t need to worry about stripping beds, vacuuming or anything else; we’ll handle that.
Feel free to leave unopened food or drinks, and our housekeepers will take care of them.

If you’d like to do something extra (though it’s not required), housekeepers really appreciate it if a load of white towels is finishing up in the washing machine and the dishwasher is running. Laundry is often the biggest bottleneck when preparing the home for the next guest.
